Holiday Home Review: Prestige Harleigh lodge

5a329174-15cb-41d4-94a1-f251d48a5129

Prestige has focused on the family first lodge purchase market with the invention of the Harleigh. This is a lodge of simple styling but its simplicity does not in any way make it devoid of character; far from it. The use of prominent grain wood and metal in the furniture styling creates a country look and the plain white of the super modern kitchen enhances the look of space.

The dining table’s metal base is a stunning crossover shape. The television unit, coffee table and shelving are made of wood supported on metal frames; a clever design of eye-catching simplicity. The natural wood of the kitchen surface and upper cabinet doors injects a warmth into the  appealingly stark white kitchen cabinetry and wall tiling. A dishwasher and fridge-freezer are integrated into the cabinetry. Four burners and an oven-grill take care of the cooking arrangements.

The white and mushroom panelled walls in all of the rooms look simply lovely. Mustard is the accent colour used in the first Harleigh. Buyers, as with all of Prestige’s lodges and homes, can choose different colour schemes from a range on display in the company’s design studio.

Both of the Harleigh’s bedrooms are spacious and have simple wardrobes with just a rail, no shelving incorporated. The main bedroom has a shower en suite with matt grey tiling that puts on the style, as it does also in the bathroom, with an over-bath shower. Both have tall chrome towel warmers.

Our view

Prestige says the new Harleigh will have a ’modest price tag’ when it arrives on parks; perfect, then, for a family looking to venture into the lodge market for the first time. We love it!
