Holiday home review: Pemberton Skydale

7dd253dc-016b-4ab1-9af0-bef69aaac40f

Pemberton’s newest leisure lodge, the Skydale, can be either a park home or a holiday lodge. It’s a 40ft by 20ft unit, built to residential specification BS 3632, as is the entire Pemberton range.

The layout is open plan, with the lounge occupying half of the wide- open space, and the spacious kitchen dining area the other half. The position of one of the large sofas serves as a demarcation between the two areas, along with the luxurious, extra-deep pile carpet in the lounge and the tile-effect vinyl flooring in the dining and kitchen zone. The breakfast bar further segments the Kingsdale’s function areas, separating the kitchen from the dining suite, yet the entire living area retains its open-plan aspect, and even integrates with the hallway via a brise soleil shelf unit.

A variety of cladding options

Three cladding options are available for the Skydale offering a staggering choice of 15 colours. Buyers can go for CanExel cladding in a range of nine colours. Vinyl cladding is offered in cream, sand shade or green. And a stucco finish is available in gardenia, grey pearl and almond shades.

A dishwasher, a washer/dryer and a microwave come as standard. Options include a wine cooler. You can go for Sky TV cabling, an external socket, and external tap – and you can even have your Skydale as an all-electric version. You can also have extra dining chairs; perfect if you are planning to entertain.

The living space

The spacious lounge has seating for at least six, with two sofas and an armchair. Curtains and cushions are smart navy blue with an abstract geometric pattern in near-white stitching. They look super-modern. But if they’re not completely to your taste, you can choose any fabric that is used in any model in Pemberton’s portfolio. Voiles come as standard, in keeping with the luxury look.

The kitchen has a large amount of surface area, finished in grey marble effect. Grey wall finish and white cabinetry ensure this kitchen has a super-modern image. Standard appliances are a five-burner hob, an oven, a microwave and a fridge/freezer. If you opt for both a dishwasher and a washing machine, there are still four large lower cabinets plus three wide drawers. Cabinets are above and below the oven and microwave; a double-doored upper cabinet, plus wide shelving, together amount to a lot of storage space. In addition, there is space for four wine bottles in their own dedicated shelving.
