IN fact, Atlantic Forest Park is not so much just a new park but a new concept in parks in the south of Spain. It is set, as its name suggests, in a forest near the Atlantic coast of southern Andalucía, an area known as the Costa de la Luz (The Coast of Light).
The park is set in amazing countryside and peace and tranquillity are the watchwords. There is an incredible amount of resident wildlife as well as many migratory birds that fly to and fro between Europe and Africa.
After one year in operation Atlantic Forest Park is going from strength to strength and there are now 12 couples resident on site. With the very personable Ken Field as the park manager there is already a real sense of community and fellowship.
The residents also get involved with the park’s monthly newsletter which is sent out for free to all those who want it.
BUY TO LET – AND GUARANTEED TO WORK!
Atlantic Parks has several ‘Buy To Let’ projects at the moment. The company specialises in timber lodges, which it builds itself to a very high standard, and new for 2009 are specially made
and positioned homes expressly designed for rentals.
There are only 22 of these homes available and they come fully finished and furnished with a guaranteed rental package which gives a minimum 7% return on investment.
In today’s market a 7% return on investment is fantastic, and to get a holiday home in Spain as well is the icing on the cake.
The homes that Atlantic Parks specialise in are built on the park from northern European pine. Each takes a week to build and then the kitchen, electrics and plumbing go in afterwards.
The expert team of carpenters has built countless lodges over the years. Every one of them is someone’s home on Atlantic Forest Park, so every lodge is built to the exact specifications of the owner.
They get to choose the size of the home, the rooms within it, and the window placement – just about everything, in fact.
WHAT DO YOU THINK, RON AND JOAN
Ron and Joan Thompson are lodge owners at Atlantic Forest Park, and contribute to the park magazine. They say they regularly have to field questions from family, friends and prospective buyers about life in southern Spain.
One of the most frequent queries is how they found out about the park.
“We first saw an advert in Park & Holiday Homes in the UK, then found out more via the internet, through which we arranged a site visit.”
Ron told me they decided to look for a home in Spain as an alternative to their house in the UK about six months prior to their site visit
“As soon as we saw the park, and the area, our mind was more or less made up,” he added. “The initial determining factor was the show lodge, which was excellent value for money.”
On of the factors that have made their move from the UK a success is the park’s staff. “The main person we deal with is the park manager, Ken Field. He is a down-to-earth Scotsman who is always available to sort out any issues we have – but above all he’s honest and absolutely genuine, which is very rare in our experience on holiday parks in the UK.
“Becky is also very genuine and pleasant, and the third person worthy of mention is Oscar, the Spanish rep. Again, he is always there to help, in particular dealing with obtaining Padron and residencia, the permits that allow you to live in Spain and own property.”
Ron and Joan have been in their lodge since May 2008 and say they have loved every minute. “We still return to the UK for the summer, coming back to Spain at the end of September. The Costa de la Luz is all the brochures make it out to be, and more – from the quiet roads to the wonderful beaches within a 10 minute drive.
“We’re both looking forward to future years now we can explore the rest of southern Andalucia at our leisure.”
A CHANCE TO BE AN OWNER – OF THE PARK!
Atlantic Parks is just about to build the second phase of Atlantic Forest Park, which will contain the pool and clubhouse as well as the ‘Buy To Let’ area and more lodge plots.
In order to do this, the company needs to raise funds, and with the money market as bad as it is, this isn’t easy or cheap. So they have come up with an alternative option – they are offering shares in the company to investors and park home owners.
This action is the best way forwards for everyone involved and will give high returns to those lucky enough to get one of only 50 shares. The shares will cost just 5,000€ each and will be released on February 14, 2009.
The company promises dividend returns of 1,000€ per year after 2012, which is an incredible 20% per year – and you thought the buy to let was a good offer!
For more details of this and the other offers see the website or give Becky a call at the park.
