Aspire Nordica - A Leisure Home with a Roof Terrace

133c98a8-4028-4b56-a80f-ce0872f250c3

Created by North Wales manufacturer Aspire Park and Leisure Homes, the Nordica is a leisure home of unique and amazing design, an architectural masterpiece with a staircase taking you from within the home to a roof terrace sheltered by a glass balustrade.

Sitting on a -sized plot on one of the UK’s most prestigious holiday home parks on the Isle of Anglesey, the first Aspire Nordica is surely a symbol of ultimate leisure-living aspiration.

Today we are at Plas Coch Coastal and Country Retreat, just a few minutes’ drive from the Menai Bridge, the gateway to the Anglesey.

This lodge’s price is £595,000 and we are about to discover all of the elements that add up to a very prestigious leisure opportunity.

Lounge
Scandinavian-inspired design elements and luxury features are everywhere we look. A cylindrical ‘log burning’ stove stands in the corner of the lounge. It has a remote control to turn ‘flames’ on and off and the roof light closes automatically in response to rain..

Kitchen
Spanish tiles line the walls and the roof above the solid bamboo breakfast bar. On the kitchen side of this wide surface is an induction hob with an extractor fan set, not above it, as you might expect, but in the centre. Two ovens and a microwave are set into a ‘floating’ bamboo-framed unit surrounded by white light. A wine rack and wine cooler are set into the breakfast bar.

Dining and lounge area
The solid oak six-seater dining table is separated from the kitchen by the -wall at the end of the breakfast bar.

This area feels like a separate room. Features in the lounge are the Scandinavian-style , white cabinets with circular inlaid wood and the slope of the ceiling which creates a lofty look.

Roof terrace
Alongside the hallway a glass door leads outside to the roof terrace. A metal staircase takes us onto the roof. Seating, a sun lounger and a coffee table are bordered by slate-effect walls into which planters are arranged. The perfect place for good-weather relaxing!

Bathroom
A bath, a drench and directional shower, wood-effect floor tiles which slope fractionally to guide shower water to a concealed drain running along one side… this bathroom is utterly magnificent.

Bedrooms
The Nordica has three bedrooms – two have double beds and one has twin beds. In both of the double rooms the ceiling slopes upwards, like that in the lounge, creating a lofty feel. The master bedroom has a roof light and floor-to-ceiling windows.

is set the two hanging areas of the corridor dressing room that leads to the en suite shower room, with the same concealed shower drain arrangement as in the bathroom.

All three bedrooms have floor-to-ceiling windows. In the second bedroom, a window set into an angled wall makes this lofty room exceptionally airy.

A Cosy home!
A brief shower drifts in from the mountains during our review visit and curtails our perusal of the roof terrace. Instantly the Nordica’s cosy feel is accentuated. This is luxury leisure living par excellence, we decide, and we make ourselves at home in the lounge again. The underfloor heating is super-efficient, we discover, as we take the style elements. We notice the amazing blinds, composed of two layers of that looks just a little like voile, along which are inlaid horizontally aligned sections of fawn fabric. The Nordica is stacked with style statements that spell out design innovation, architectural splendour, and lighting sophistication in a holiday home that is surely among those at the pinnacle leisure lodge innovation.
