THE Fairfield’s family bathroom previously had a corner bath, but now sports a straight bath with a feature step to make best use of the space, while a new vanity unit has also been fitted. The walls were previously tiled in half black and half white with a terracotta border but are now white with an amber border. These changes have made the room look much bigger.

The second bedroom now has natural maize as the accent colour which co-ordinates well with the new style white wardrobes and drawers. This furniture style also features in the master bedroom, where the curtains have been replaced and are now from a range called Torino using terracotta and white shades and feature swags and tails which the big room and large windows can take.

The en-suite shower room now has high gloss white vanity units and a huge corner shower with a sliding door. The tiles are the same as the family bathroom.

The kitchen benefits from new, high-gloss white cupboards with chunky stainless steel handles, granite worktops and slate effect charcoal grey floor tiles. The wall tiles are new, too – they are white with a chrome border. The colours are extended into the adjacent and compact utility room and it may sound as if these rooms are rather clinical looking – especially with the stainless steel sink – but, in fact, they aren’t.

A great improvement has been made to the entrance hall, as there are now two 3/4-length double-glazed Georgian-style windows and a half glazed door leading to the dining area, which enhance not just the hall but the dining area, too.
