IN everything Hollicarrs team do, the environment is of paramount importance, and the care and attention put into the planning stage of Hollicarrs was carried through to produce what is seen today, with great care being taken so as not to disturb the existing eco balance. This was recognised when Hollicarrs received the David Bellamy Gold Award for Conservation and the 5 Star VisitBritain Award for an exceptional park within the first year of opening. The park was also recently in the final of the White Rose Awards for an Exceptional Holiday Park. These awards emphasise the care and attention that has been applied to the development of Hollicarrs.

Enter Hollicarrs, and you discover a beautiful, peaceful, natural haven to be enjoyed all-year round, thanks to the advantage of the 12-month holiday home park licence.

Opened on 21 September 2008, Harts’ Nook, the second phase of Hollicarrs, provides a further 40 exclusive pitches for accommodating spacious and luxurious 50x22 lodges. In a stunning woodland setting, privacy is guaranteed, giving you a natural escape away from the stresses and strains of the everyday hustle and bustle.

Hollicarrs is located only eight miles from historic York and five miles from the old market town of Selby. Everyday staples can be found in local villages, and excellent restaurants such as The Old Spice Mill at Riccall and the Sang Thai restaurant in Escrick are also handy.  For good pub food, The Drovers Arms at Skipwith, Black Bull at Escrick and White Swan at Deighton all have good reputations. The park is ideally placed for visiting places of interest, including  Castle Howard, and Hardwood House and Bird Garden. A little further afield, Fountains, Rievaulx Abbey and Bolton Abbey are well worth a visit.

Future plans at Hollicarrs include a farm shop with café, and an arboretum with lakes and further walks. Work is due to begin this autumn.
