INSURANCE specialist Towergate Bakers has given its support to residents of Takeley Park in Essex who have recently set up their own qualifying Park Home Residents' Association.Under legislation governing the setting up of such groups, more than 50% of residents on a park must support the proposal.
Paul Baker, Sales Director of Towergate Bakers, visited the park to present the residents with a cheque for £200 to sponsor the fledgling association.
The money will be used to cover the costs of administration and newsletter production. Members of the association will also get a 10% discount when insuring their park homes with Towergate Bakers.
As well as meeting with the association committee, Chairman Ian Brace, Secretary Derek Weinberg and Treasurer Barry Holden, Paul was also able to meet a large number of other residents to discuss park home insurance and other related issues.
“For many years now Towergate Bakers has been supporting local groups of park home residents with financial assistance towards outings, social events and fundraising initiatives and a whole host of other park related projects,” Paul said.
“We were delighted to be approached by Ian Brace on behalf of the Takeley Park residents and sincerely hope that with our support the association will prosper and attract even more members”
Ian Brace said the association was very grateful for the sponsorship. “Fundraising is a challenge,” he added, “so this will go some way to covering our costs for the first year and ensures the association will start off on a sound financial footing.
“We shall be encouraging our members to consider Towergate Bakers for their own park home insurance, taking advantage of the 10% discount.”
• If you are thinking of setting up a qualifying resident’s association or have one already and would like to discuss working with Towergate Bakers, call Paul Baker on 07879 846740, email: [email protected].
