Strategic collaboration sees Homeseeker and Finnish Log Homes setting up home together

The collaboration sees FLH benefiting from the massive manufacturing capacity offered by Homeseeker’s world-class production facility in Rushden to manufacture natural log homes and a range of leisure homes based on Homeseeker’s construction and designs. In return, Homeseeker gains increased production volume and greater market penetration.

“This is an important step for Homeseeker in line with our business strategy for expansion and increased market share,” said Homeseeker National Sales Manager, Steve Taylor. “Finnish Log Homes have always been impressed by our quality ethos and manufacturing facilities and have no doubt that we can meet their high standards. For our part, the association with this quality-led builder complements the build-quality of our new Signature range of leisure homes.”

FLH has been providing iconic, exclusive and unique log buildings which have embodied the latest trends in design, sustainability and technology since 2002. The Essex-based company builds two high-quality ranges, Contemporary and Traditional, to accommodate all tastes. All FLH log homes use ethically-sourced timber from managed Finnish spruce and pine forests located near the Arctic circle. The main market for Finnish Log Homes’ products are land-owners, marinas, farmers and even fisheries who want a stylish, bespoke and naturally environmentally-friendly solution for extra housing needs on private land.

FLH Managing Director, Chris Mayhew, said: “With this collaboration, we can grow sales knowing that we are supported by Homeseeker’s magnificent production facility in Rushden helping us fulfil our increasing manufacturing targets. With sales growing in our sector and interest in our non-permanent log homes increasing, the sharing of resources and skills with Homeseeker will open up new opportunities.”

The collaboration involves both the log home and the leisure home market sectors. Homeseeker will manufacture the FHL ‘Contemporary’ log home at Rushden as well as any FLH wood-clad leisure homes for high-end parks and situations where land-owners can only get planning permission for non-permanent buildings. Homeseeker will also be offering the extra-thick, natural wood cladding used by FLH as an option throughout its Signature range of leisure homes. Currently a Homeseeker ‘Olympia Twin’ with 28mm natural wood cladding is in production for display at the company’s Rushden Sales Centre.

As part of the mutually-beneficial relationship, Homeseeker will be helping to promote FLH products at events around the country. The first of these is the CLA Game Fair held at Belvoir Castle in Leicestershire on 20-22 July this year. Homeseeker will use its construction and design resources to build, decorate and fit out an FLH ‘Contemporary’ log cabin to be displayed at this prestigious fair.

FHL has already scheduled in several orders to the Rushden factory with the first wood-clad ‘Olympia Twin’ and the FLH ‘Contemporary’ already on the production line. In the following weeks several more customer-led orders for FHL products will move through Homeseeker’s production facility.

“Going forward, we see this collaboration getting closer and more synergistic,” concluded Homeseeker’s Steve Taylor. “Apart from Finnish Log Homes benefiting from our marketing support and supplying a considerable volume of our production capacity, we see the potential for mutual product development and quality enhancements throughout both our ranges.”
