Special offers on Cornwall holiday homes

c26fcd93-3b0c-41f0-87f8-b4bc931f5e26

A package of holiday home purchase offers has been launched at two holiday parks in Cornwall. The parks are Meadow Lakes, near to the little village of Hewas Water, inland of St Austell, and Oaklands Holiday Park, close to the south coast, between Looe and Polperro. Both are owned by Acorn Parks.

Under the title “Let life after lockdown begin”, the offer comprises free site fees until 2022, free decking, a free 40-in television and a free inventory pack, plus £1,000 off a holiday home.

Oaklands Park, where prices for pre-owned homes start at £34,995 and new homes are priced from £53,995, is a quiet, beautiful park set in lovely countryside just two miles from the coast. Holiday homes here have panoramic views from their decking. The park has an 11-month season.

This park is within easy walking distance of the stunningly quaint fishing village of Polperro, where there’s a good choice of places to eat, charming little shops to browse, and galleries, too. At the end of the narrow road that takes you through all of that, is a small harbour where fish is still landed and you can join the South West Coast Path if you wish; spectacular walks are both to the east and west of Polperro.

Oaklands Park is equidistant from Polperro and Looe, which is much larger than Polperro, and here, after you’ve meandered through the ancient town, you reach a lovely beach. There are ancient pubs, a museum and a long quayside. Like Polperro, Looe has a quaint charm; a place to visit again and again. Plus, you can take a trip to Looe Island from here. It’s a marine nature reserve, managed by Cornwall Wildlife Trust. The island is home to grey seals, nesting birds and rare wildflower species.

Meadow Lakes Holiday Park, set in 56 acres of meadows and woodland, is a superb family holiday location, with a swimming pool, four fishing lakes, play areas, plus Pets’ Corner, home to miniature Shetland ponies, donkeys, goats, guinea pigs and chickens; pets to make friends with and visit every day if you wish!

Pre-owned holiday homes start at £33,995 at Meadow Lakes, and prices of new homes start at £49,995. The park has a 10-month season. This park, close to Hewas Water, where you’ll find pubs and small shops, is conveniently within easy reach of the A390 that takes you east towards St Austell (for shopping including major supermarkets) and west, towards Cornwall’s north coast. The location of this park makes it a great centre for exploring the whole of Cornwall (nowhere is very far in the peninsula county).
