Searles Leisure Resort in Hunstanton, Norfolk, crowned a year of glittering prizes when it was named recently as East Anglia's most perfect place to take a park holiday.

"Holiday Park of the Year" was its accolade at the prestigious Eastern Daily Press "Visit Norfolk Tourism Awards".
The family-run business, now in its 60th year, triumphed in its category against scores of other eligible parks in the county.

This most recent accolade adds to a host of other recognitions received by the popular seaside park and leisure resort in 2014.

They included a top gold award from world-famous botanist David Bellamy for Searles' many successful wildlife and conservation initiatives.

The park also celebrated a "Thriving" distinction by the Royal Horticultural Society and Anglia in Bloom for its floral displays.
The Searle family then learned that an AA inspection report had earned the park a glowing 90 per cent rating for its facilities and hospitality.

Capping that was the news that Searles had once again received an unbeatable 5-star quality grading from national tourist board VisitEngland.

The park’s facilities include bars, restaurants, clubs, shops, indoor and outdoor swimming pools and a host of other leisure activities.

It provides 162 luxury holiday homes for hire and 350 privately-owned holiday homes as well as c.300 pitches for tourers.
