New luxury lodge development with sea views

Portland View is the name of a new, terraced luxury-lodge development at Ladram Bay Holiday Centre in Budleigh Salterton, Devon.
Opened last year with 42 plots and stunning views out to sea, it offers a mixture of 13ft and 20ft-wide five-star holiday homes, each with glass-panelled decking and block-stone drives with space for two cars.Ladram Bay is one of the largest holiday centres in Devon. Spread across 52 acres and with a half-mile clifftop frontage plus beach, the park boasts more than 500 holiday caravans, three quarters owner occupied (the rest, available for hire).
All this on the Jurassic Coast, designated as a World Heritage Site on a par with the Great Barrier Reef in Australia.
Whether you own a luxury lodge or a holiday caravan at Ladram, you will find on site just about everything needed for holiday life – plus some: shops including a supermarket, restaurant, bars, café, takeaway, indoor swimming pool, launderette and a two-storey entertainment complex.
In their efforts to improve the facilities still further, the park’s owners have invested large sums of money over the last five years. The results can be seen in the revamped restaurant and bar, a new children’s area, a crazy-golf course and decorative dry-stone walls flanking some of the holiday caravan plots, many of which have views of the sea.
Plans for 2014 include an upgrading of the indoor swimming pool with a Jacuzzi plus a second pool and the development of football, basketball and tennis pitches.
Holiday homes range in price from £12,995 to £130,000. Annual site fees vary between £3,780 and £6,180.
