New luxury lodge development at Dorset park
Osmington Holiday Park near Weymouth, Dorset has been transformed over the past year.
Up until last year if featured a mixture of owner-occupied lodges and static caravans for hire.
Now all four dozen of the caravans have been removed. Their place has been taken by a new landscaped development which will eventually provide plots for two dozen luxury leisure lodges, all twins. Already there are homes sited on half of the plots.
At the same time the restaurant/bar has been refurbished. In addition, the complex as a whole, which includes a lounge for lodge owners, has been extended to include a gym and treatment room.
Other improvements at this wooded hillside park, which is spread across 7½ acres, will see electric barriers installed at the entrance and free wi-fi.
The beach and a rather quaint clifftop pub, the Smugglers Inn, are just 10 minutes’ walk away. Weymouth with all its seaside resort amenities is a four-mile drive.
Closer still is Waterside Holiday Park & Spa, part of the same group: holiday-home owners at Osmington can use the extensive amenities there free of charge.
Owners have access to their lodges from March 15 till January 15. Prices range from £200,000 - £300,000-plus.
