THE Elms is a residential family-run park for the over 50’s that has its own boat moorings and touring caravan storage along with beautifully landscaped grounds, including a designated 10 acres of parkland with lakes. And unusually, it specialises in timber clad park homes, rather than the stucco style more common on residential estates.
There are three basic sizes of home at The Elms; some have garages but all have a private garden and parking space; visitor parking is provided around the park. The homes are two bedroomed and fully fitted to a very high standard. Prices start from around £50,000 for a 45x13 to £175,000 for a newly refurbished 44x20 with garage and large outbuildings on a double-sided end plot.
Entrance to the park is barrier controlled; visitors without a pass must report to the office (open 7 days, except over Christmas and New Year). This system prevents unauthorised visitors entering the Park. So if someone knocks at your door, it will either be a neighbour, a member of staff, or one of your own friends and family.
During an Open Weekend at The Elms, visitors will be given a site plan and details of all the homes open to view, and can then explore at their own pace. Refreshments are on offer throughout the day and all visitors will automatically be entered into a prize draw to win a Fortnum & Mason hamper worth £50!
The Open Weekend is to take place on September 11-12, 9.30-4. For more info, tel: 01427 718243, email [email protected], web: www.kinvena.com.
