Exclusive park opens in a rural idyll

Brand new residential park-home sites are something of a rarity. So it was with great interest that we heard about a green-field development being carried out by Turners Parks Group Ltd.

Turners, which used to be known as the Park Home Group and encompasses Britannia and Regency, has 38 residential estates spread across England.

Their latest development is Radwell Court in the hamlet of Radwell, seven miles north west of Bedford and 60 miles north of London.

Purchased as a green field by Turners in 2012, it has now opened as an exclusive gated estate. Exclusive in the sense that it offers just 11 plots.

Radwell hamlet itself is something of a rural idyll. That means that, ideally, you need to have your own car. There is parking on site alongside the park homes, each having its own block-paved drive.

At the time of our visit there were six vacant plots for twin units ranging from 40ft x 20 up to 50ft x 20 with guideline prices starting at £190,000.

The monthly plot fee is £173.91; the minimum age, 50; and pets are allowed.
