Manchester based Auxano Technologies has launched a new concept in window blinds for park homes, lodges and caravan holiday homes. The new product, Luxury Sunfilms, provides a viable alternative to net curtains.

The blinds offer one-way daytime privacy, allowing owners to see out while preventing those outside from seeing in. Visibility from the inside is akin to the view through a pair of sunglasses.

An additional feature of the blinds is that the film prevents fabric and furniture from fading and drastically reduce glare from the sun, eliminating the need to close the curtains when watching the television or viewing a computer screen.

Continued exposure to the sun can cause skin cancer, premature ageing and eye damage, even through glass. However, Luxury Sunfilms’ blinds filter out more than 99% of UV transmission. During summer, the blinds create a cool environment, while in winter they help to keep the heat in, so they can help reduce energy costs and your carbon footprint!

Luxury Sunfilms’ blinds and are made from a special film available in either gold or silver that can be pulled down to any position. The blinds have a gentle, smooth retraction system where the speed of the retraction is easily adjusted. They are available in 5 standard widths ranging from 50cm to 150cm. If a non standard width is required, the blind can easily be cut down to the required size.

• Blinds can be ordered on the Luxury Sunfilms website: www.luxury-sunfilms.com where there is a special 25% introductory discount available to Park & Holiday Home readers. Simply enter the discount code holidayhomes when ordering.
