Cumbrian estate's new glamping accommodation is out of this world
Each lodge has a mezzanine level with a stargazing roof window, meaning guests can get a view of the stars. This is accessed via a ladder, leading to a cosy double bed with the skylight window above. Built using a bespoke design template, these are currently the only lodges like this in England.
About the lodges
Named Galaxy and Comet, the lodges sleep four and six people respectively, and come complete with a fully equipped kitchen, a bathroom with power shower, a ground floor double bedroom (the Comet also has a pull-out king size bed in the lounge), an outdoor living area and access to the grounds of the 250-acre Blaithwaite Estate.
Extra luxurious touches outside include a decking space with pop-up bar, a swing chair, barbecue area and hot tub.
Things to do at Blaithwaite
The estate has numerous walking trails around formal gardens and woodland, as well as farm animals to meet, crazy golf, giant chess and several play areas. On-site activities are also available including bushcraft, laser tag, orienteering and treasure hunts.
