Accolade for park and holiday home manufacturer, Omar

The London Stock Exchange recently recognised Omar Group as one of the Group's 1000 Companies to Inspire Britain for 2018.

The report is a celebration of the fastest-growing and most dynamic small and medium-sized businesses across the UK. It is the third, consecutive year in which Omar has achieved this accolade. To be included in the report, companies needed to show consistent revenue growth over a minimum of three years, significantly outperforming their industry peers.

The Omar Group has built up its brand portfolio in the residential park home and lodge park marketplace over recent years. The group now encompasses five brands: Omar Park & Leisure Homes, Wessex Unique Lodges & Park Homes, Omar Park Development Services, Boutique Lodges, Holidays by Omar and Omar Refurbishment Services

Omar says that group sales have more than trebled, taking the group from a £10m business in 2010, to a business with turnover in excess of £49m in 2017/18. The business currently employs around 450 staff, an increase of over 300 full-time jobs since May 2011.

Omar's headquarters is in Brandon, Suffolk. Due to increasing demand for the group's lodges and park homes, in 2015 Omar opened a new factory in Hull. In 2017, the company added a 40,000 sq. ft. factory extension to the Suffolk production facility, which extends to 13½-acres.

With production at full capacity, and demand still growing, in 2018 Omar will move to a new, 122,000 sq. ft. premises in the summer in Hull. Staff numbers in Hull will increase from 50 to 170.
