Buying Advice: Visit a manufacturer showground

8835f00f-4564-414a-8e33-8c525d1de9aa

If you can't make it to one of the regular shows and events covering the world of holiday homes and residential park homes, you could consider a visit to one of the many manufacturer showgrounds located all across the UK. Several of the manufacturers have their own showgrounds which generally operate on an appointment basis. An appointment at one of the showgrounds gives you a great opportunity to view a selection of homes at your leisure and to ask any questions you might have before deciding to purchase a home.

Willerby

This manufacturer has a large showground close to its factory in Hull and also has a showground in Scotland, in the countryside of West Lothian. At Hull, you can expect to see possibly up to 20 units (depending on when you go); at West Lothian, typically, nine units are on display.

  • Hull Showground, Great Field Lane, Marfleet Lane, Hull, East Yorkshire HU9 5WA 01482 717599
  • Scotland Showground, Williamsons Garden Centre, Beechwood Nurseries, Uphall, Livingston, West Lothian EH52 6PA 01506 811247

Omar Park & Leisure Homes

Omar’s newest homes and new updates are displayed here at its Suffolk showground, well spaced out and with heating and lighting on. Omar also has a showground at its Hull manufacturing facility.

  • Omar Park & Leisure Homes, Pleszko House, London Road, Brandon, Suffolk IP27 0NE 01842 810673
  • Unicorn Trading Park, Somerden Road, Hull HU9 5PE 01482 700360

Tingdene Homes

Tingdene, at Wellingborough in Northamptonshire, has both an indoor showroom and an outdoor display area. The outdoor area is splendidly carpeted with artificial grass and looking as much like a little corner of a park as possible in a factory setting! In the main indoor display area, four homes are typically on display, together with an array of options from which buyers may choose in terms of fittings and finishes.

Prestige Homeseeker

This manufacturer actually has two showgrounds, one for leisure lodges and one for residential park homes, both conveniently close to the office complex which houses the impressive design suite, where buyers can browse through options in everything from floor coverings to light fittings as they decide on any customisations that they may require. This is one of the country’s largest manufacturer showgrounds.

  • Prestige Homeseeker Park & Leisure Homes, Shipton Way, Express Business Park, Rushden, Northamptonshire NN10 6GL 01933 354000

Pemberton Park & Leisure Homes

Pemberton also has a display area, in front of and behind its offices in Wigan. It’s only a few miles from the M6. Typically, you’ll find around 10 homes available to view.

  • Pemberton Park & Leisure Homes, Woodhouse Lane, Wigan, Lancashire WN6 7NF 01942 321221

Pathfinder Homes

This company also has a ‘virtual showground’ – video tours of the homes, created by Pathfinder as a substitute for shows. On display at the Pathfinder Homes headquarters in Devon is the mono-pitch Hawthorne, symmetrically designed with full glazing to the length of the home. This beautiful model has been newly designed and created to bring a whole new dimension to lodge living. Visitors can also explore a single Floating Lodge – yes, really! This lodge is built to the same standard as lodges for land use and is made to go on its own floating pontoon moored to the shore of a lake!
