IT'S easy to see how an afternoon coffee with friends on the decking of a luxury holiday home can stretch long into a candlelit evening, with good wine and great conversation. Or how a family find it difficult to spend a day at one of Britain’s best beaches, just ten minutes away, because of all the exciting activities taking place on the beautiful and historic park around them. It’s easy because the five-star-graded Plas Coch Holiday Home Park – with a near-perfect score and Gold Standard from VisitWales – lives up to its exceptional setting in every way.On the Isle of Anglesey, Plas Coch is in a designated area of outstanding beauty, close to Snowdonia National Park and some of the best coastline in Europe. It invites both relaxation and adventure.
For Marketing Director and father-of-two Mark Brooker this makes Plas Coch ideal for enjoying life, not just for great holidays, with nearby beaches and mountains still waiting to be explored!
“What’s so lovely is the children are safe and having a great time, and so are we because we’re so relaxed,” he says. “We’re creating great memories here, both as a family and as a couple.”
At the heart of Plas Coch is a restored Elizabethan manor house, one of the finest and most historically important buildings on Anglesey.
It features a club, bar, and gourmet dining at Restaurant 1569 (the year Plas Coch was built), an oak-panelled room with a huge open fire and original mullioned windows. Together with an architect-designed glass atrium which houses a luxury spa, swimming pool and one of the UK’s largest hydrotherapy baths, it forms a stunning centrepiece of this imaginatively designed 60-acre parkland.
Tree-lined avenues, a lake, preserved stone buildings, sculptures and ancient woodland make Plas Coch unique, creating separate park areas and a real sense of space and luxury. Laura and husband Mark moved to Plas Coch from another five-star park because it offered premium facilities and more activities through its Leisure Plus programme.
An accredited outdoor centre on the Menai Strait provides watersports and sailing courses free of charge. Homeowners also have the choice of joining The Marine Club boat share scheme. Members book days out on a boat of their choice and the vessel is maintained and fuelled for them.
Now in its final development phase, Plas Coch has saved the best until last. Cae Uchaf means ‘upper field’ and homes here enjoy extra spacious plots and panoramic views to Snowdonia.
The Brookers love Plas Coch so much that they upgraded to a larger holiday home earlier this year.
“It’s a big investment,” Mark admits, “but you’re not just buying a holiday home. You’re making an investment in life. You’ll never look back.”

What facilities does the park have?
Multi-award-winning Plas Coch, near the Isle of Anglesey’s coast (a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty), is a Visit Wales five-star graded park with a score of 99 %. The 60-acre park’s centrepiece is a restored Elizabethan manor house with a luxury spa, gourmet restaurant in a 16th century oak-panelled room, and pool and hydrotherapy spa set in a contemporary, architect-designed glass atrium overlooking a lake. An organised leisure programme includes a range of land-based activities and watersports, many from a private launch on the Menai Strait. Homeowners can also join The Marine Club, a shared ownership scheme for new, luxury watercraft. The park opens 11 months and has manned, gated security. The best plots feature spectacular views to Snowdonia. Luxury lodges are fully furnished and each has an Internet connection available; options include wooden deck and hot-tub, home entertainment system, and one year’s Marine Club membership.
What’s for the sale at this park?
Currently there are five luxury lodge types available, designed by local manufacturer Cambrian Leisure Homes and Wessex Park and Leisure Homes. Starting at £140,000 for the three-bedroom Oakmere, to the vaulted ceiling top-of-the-range Serenity, the lodges form part of Plas Coch’s final phase and the best location on the park, elevated and commanding stunning views of Snowdonia.
