Stoneleigh Show

THE ‘Stoneleigh Show’ – officially the World of Park & Leisure Homes – is the major mid-season event in the park home and lodge sector, and is certain to be a ‘must see’ showcase if you are planning to venture into residential or luxury leisure home ownership over the coming year.

The show runs from Friday June 10 to Sunday June 12, and the gates are open from 10am-5pm daily. Admission and parking are free.

Despite the recession, last year’s show was a huge success, so once again the trade and the public are being invited to the Royal Agricultural Society’s showground in Warwickshire to explore the possibilities of the park home and leisure lodge lifestyle.

Stoneleigh is certainly growing again after the trials and tribulations of the credit crunch and the economic slowdown. Most of the major park home and lodge manufacturers will be in residence, including, at the time of writing, Pathfinder, which has been instrumental in keeping the show up and running; the industry’s biggest manufacturer, Tingdene; and other top companies such as Omar, Lissett, Manor, Stately-Albion, Prestige and Heritage.

The homes on show will all be built to the BS3632 residential standard, meaning that even the lodge-style homes could be sited on residential parks if the park owners agree.

The manufacturers will be joined in the main area of the showground by a number of parks and providers of complementary services to the industry, including insurers, finance providers and refurbishment specialists. So, in addition to strolling through the many stunning homes on view, visitors will be able to talk to industry experts about how they can make the change to a stress-free, low-cost, low-maintenance lifestyle.

There will be plenty of catering facilities on site, too – including the showground’s own hotel, with bar and restaurant, and its excellent café and farm shop.

HOW TO GET TO STONELEIGH

Travelling by road
Stoneleigh Park is on the B4113, just off the A46 between Warwick and Coventry. From Junction 2 on the M6, or the conclusion of the M69, join the A46 towards Warwick. From Junction 17 on the M1 take the M45 and then the A45 towards Coventry until it joins the A46 for Warwick. Follow signs for National Agricultural Centre or NAC Stoneleigh Park until you pick up the signs for Stoneleigh Park. Parking is free, and there is a special car parking area for the disabled.

Travelling by rail
Frequent trains run between London Euston and Coventry, London Marylebone and Warwick and from Birmingham to Coventry. There are taxi ranks at both Coventry and Warwick Stations. Tel: 08457 484950, or see the website: www.nationalrail.co.uk, for national rail information and booking.
