Manor House Park - Nottinghamshire

3cd79d06-9609-4b65-b51f-9ab5c22d8d36
THE park is located down a quiet country lane and enjoys a pleasant countryside setting with extensive views over the River Trent, with 18 fishing pegs available to residents free of charge. It is within easy walking distance of Church Laneham, formerly an estate village of the Bishop of York, and the location of a ferry crossing of the river, commemorated by the name of the public house The Ferryboat Inn, which is currently undergoing refurbishment.

Church Laneham is within easy reach of Lincoln. The city provides a wide range of attractions, including a magnificent cathedral, castle, various museums, cinemas, a famous theatre, lively riverside bars and restaurants, and an excellent choice of shops and services.

Though Lincoln is easy to get to, the nearest place for major amenities is the ancient market town of Retford. Here you will find a busy Saturday market, two theatres, a museum, and some fine Georgian buildings.

The park is also close to Sherwood Forest, including Clumber Park, with historic houses such as Thoresby Hall and Newstead Abbey a short drive away.

Newstead Abbey is a beautiful historic house set in a landscape of gardens and parkland. Founded as a monastic house in the late 12th century, the Abbey’s most famous owner was the poet Lord Byron.

When complete, the park will comprise three separate sections with 40 residential homes, 19 touring pitches and the remainder holiday homes. Prices for residential homes start from £99,950, and include brick skirting, landscaped and turfed garden, steps and parking, with a garage being an optional extra.

All park homes have the cables installed for a BT telephone point, and TV aerials and satellite dishes are welcome.

Residents enjoy the resident wildlife, and the peace and quiet of the location. In fact, this hidden gem does not take much selling, as it ticks all the right boxes.

The sales office is open from 9am to 5.30pm, seven days a week. Please feel free to call by, as no appointment is necessary, or call the site managers David and Marie Myers on 01777 228489. Alternatively, call the Tingdene Lifestyle office on 01933 230130.
