A new level-lying park for retired /semi-retired persons, in the course of development and nearing completion on the edge of the village periphery, Shillingford Park is where you can enjoy the benefits of living in a small rural community with all of life’s main necessities catered for.

Kilgetty is well provided for by way of local services with its own doctors surgery, veterinary surgeon, Tourist Information Centre, community hall, launderette, and a full range of shopping facilities including the Co-op supermarket and Post Office, all of which are a few minutes walk away.

The local church is close by in Begelly. Within the village is a small railway station where one can get trains both local and to Swansea interconnecting with London and the Midlands; equally the National Express coach stop is also complemented by a regular bus service. Taxi firms operate locally.

The county town of Haverfordwest lies some 15 miles distant with a general hospital and major shopping facilities. The townships of Tenby, Narberth and Pembroke Dock are close by.

Within the area are all the normal amenities, such as golf at Tenby, Penally, Narberth and Haverfordwest, bowling, bowls, tennis and fishing, as well as the Coastal National Park one mile away, from which access can be gained on to the footpath which runs the entire length of the Pembrokeshire coastline. Popular beaches lie nearby at Amroth, Wisemans Bridge, Coppit Hall, Saundersfoot and Tenby.

Several local tourist attractions are within easy reach, including Folly Farm, Wales’ premier family attraction, offering a day of entertainment in a variety of zones including the new zoo. Oakwood Adventure Park is Wales’ largest theme park. Heatherton Country Sports Park offers archery, golf and many more sports. Bluestone, including Blue Lagoon Water Park, has restaurants, spa and shops, all attractions proving ideal for visiting grandchildren.
