Having exhibited at the NEC show last October and now being represented by a pair of dealers, rather than just a solus outlet, it seems Eura Mobil is properly back in Britain. It’s a brand that once had a strong following here, not least for its big Integra A-classes, but now it’s the low-profiles that are taking centre stage.

Profila T is the entry-level, with Profila RS offering a drop-down bed and the Terrestra T being built on an Al-Ko chassis. The Profila RS claims to be the only ‘crossover’ model (low-profile with drop-down bed) that has both a full-length double floor and an overall height below 2.90m. Certainly, having a double floor reduces the number of true competitors to compare the model against – think Hymer T-SL and Knaus Sun TI.

It is marketed as a 3.5-tonne vehicle, although the example featured here is plated at 3,650kg for extra payload.

With the Profila’s double-floor storage you could be grateful for that extra capacity and, although this 730 EB doesn’t have a garage, the under-bed lockers on each side are unusually deep. The heating pipes are also installed in the floor to heat the floor’s surface – the 730 EB has Alde ‘wet’ central heating as standard (other models come with Truma Combi 4/6 blown-air). The leisure battery and fresh water tank (a generous 140 litres) are contained in winterised locations in the floor.

Bodywork construction is wood-free and backed up by a 10-year warranty, while the furniture – all made in-house – is guaranteed for three years. Modern bonding methods from the aviation industry ensure a fully sealed structure without screw connections through to the outer walls.

There are eight models in the Profila RS range, all in the seven to seven-and-a-half metre range. Layouts are the usual mix of fixed beds, with this 7.41m model featuring an end washroom and low-level twin beds. Bed lengths are stated as 1.89m and a basketball player-sized 2.10m, while the front drop-down double is said to be 1.93m by 1.40m. Seven-zone cold foam mattresses are employed.

Externally, a smoothly curved roofline hides the front bed, while, inside, the extra berths are just as discreetly hidden in the ceiling. Alloy wheels and an overcab sunroof also feature, as well as a wide habitation door, while the Fiat cab also comes with ESP, Traction+, hill descent control, cruise control, driver and passenger airbags, air-conditioning and tyre pressure monitoring.

This example also features the Comfort Pack, with Mini Heki rooflights over both sleeping areas, cab blinds, living area door with central locking, TV mounting bracket, bike rack, extractor hood, and Tec-Tower with oven sited above the 175-litre fridge.

You can also choose from different décor schemes for your Eura Mobil: the Navarra interior (as here) with dark, high-gloss wood, or the more natural, more muted Chalet with its wild oak look. Here, the lounge has also been specified with optional cream leather. A darker hide and a wide variety of fabrics is also offered.

For those who prefer an A-class, the Profila RS layouts are also offered in the Integra Line range.
