Full review

Since being introduced back onto British shores by Marquis in 2014, Benimar motorhomes have quickly become the UK’s largest selling imported product.

The Benimar Mileo range of motorhomes has been designed to offer a selection of low-profile models with space-saving multi positional electric drop-down beds on selected layouts. With seven models to choose from, ranging from the compact 2 berth Mileo 201 up to the range-topping 4 berth Mileo 294, there really is an option to suit all your lifestyle requirements.

The Benimar Mileo 202 is a four-berth sub-6m – its length is measured at 5.95m – compact coachbuilt, which costs from £56,995.

There are no fixed beds in the Benimar Mileo 202. Instead, you get a flexible interior layout, with a popular end kitchen and washroom at the rear, and a front lounge which has a spacious seating area.

Here, there are two rear travelling seats – with the two cab seats this makes four in total, so a family can travel in safety and comfort. The two side-facing settees surround a dining table that can be removed and stored away in the evening when the seating is converted into one of the two double beds. This front lounge bed measures 1.2m wide by 2.1m in length.

There is also the added benefit of a multi-positional electric drop-down double bed above the front lounge. At 1.4m wide and 1.9m in length, this is also a good size.

The kitchen is well equipped, and offers plenty of worktop space to the left of the stainless steel sink, which features a glass lid to provide even more capacity if required. There is a dual fuel gas and electric hob, with a glass lid, oven and grill, and a large, 145-litre fridge and freezer featuring automatic energy selection.

There’s also a microwave and extractor hood, decorative lights and metal drawer runners with a soft closing system.

Beside the kitchen is the washroom, which features a Thetford cassette toilet with electric flush, a washbasin with single door cupboard below, and a separate shower. The design aspects here include chrome finish brass mixer taps and shower head, towel holder and rooflight with flyscreen.

The new Fiat 160bhp engine and six speed gearbox provides a powerful, comfortable and safe driving experience, and there’s a Fiat automatic gearbox available as a cost option. Drive with ultimate comfort thanks to the inclusion of the latest driver assistance technology, including ABS, ESP, Traction control, Hill assist and curve assist.
