Full review

Adria has introduced a number of ‘600’ models in its 2020 season range in response to demand for more compact vehicles. All are just under seven metres in overall length.

As part of the Coral line-up, this newcomer is a low-profile without a drop-down bed (models with the front bed sit in the Matrix range) and the ‘SL’ suffix indicates a twin bed layout. It is only offered in the UK in entry-level Axess trim although our photos show a continental model with slightly plusher Plus spec. The Axess version has more ‘woody’ Tempo Brown furniture (rather than Alaska White) and a white Fiat cab.

The first thing you notice is the impression of light inside. There’s a huge overcab sunroof followed by an even larger rooflight over the lounge. It’s become something of an Adria trademark and few rivals come close to offering so much natural light in a motorhome.

Down below, the lounge is relatively conventional, with an L-shaped settee featuring a narrow inward-facing section and swivel cab seats with armrests. There’s a large fixed table and a flat floor from the cab right back to the bedroom. Touch-to-operate reading lights are fitted in the cab, while the most unusual feature is the fold-up jump seat by the door (still leaving entry and exit possible). Isofix for child seats is a plus for family travel.

Aft of the entrance, the kitchen has Adria’s monobloc three-burner hob and sink unit, which leaves a good-sized worktop area for meal preparation. There’s a Thetford oven/grill fitted below the countertop, but only one kitchen drawer – the rest of the storage is in cupboards. Towards the rear is a 142-litre tall/slim Thetford fridge/freezer.

Opposite, behind a sliding tambour door, is the washroom. This has a swing-wall arrangement to create an adequately roomy shower with no clingy curtain. There’s also a hanging rail for wet clothes, an opening window for ventilation and plenty of shoulder and legroom on the swivel cassette toilet.

Of course, the key aspect of a layout like this is the twin beds and, despite this Coral being up to half a metre shorter than some rivals, each mattress here measures an impressive 2.03m long. There are wardrobes under the foot of each bed, twin reading lights (with USBs), and a concertina screen for privacy, as well as a further large rooflight here. You can also raise the head end of each bed on a ratchet system, so you can sit up comfortably.

The garage is another important feature – and one that Adria has focused on across the range this season, adding new flooring, power and light. Here, there are two large loading doors, two LED strip lights on the back wall and 12V, 230V and USB sockets. Interior height in the locker is 1.10m and its weight limit is 150kg.

Based on the latest Euro 6d Fiat Ducato, the Coral comes with a 140bhp engine as standard, even in Axess trim. You’ll want to add Motorhome Pack 1 or 2 to get a decent cab spec. Then there’s the Motorhome Luxury Pack to consider, with alloys, awning, etc.
