FLEURETTE is a brand-new name in the UK, but the marque is long established in its home country of France and is now part of the Rapido empire.

For our shores Southdowns Motorcaravans have taken on the importation (alongside Rimor and Concorde) and will be seeking to set up a network of sales outlets for the brand.

motorhome interior Fleurette Le Migrateur F63 LG The all low-profile Fleurette range includes Renault Master and new Fiat base vehicles, all with Al-Ko chassis. Lengths range from 6.37m to 7.35m and a wide range of fixed bed layouts includes singles and even an island bed version. All are luxuriously appointed as befits a brand that sits in the upper echelons of the market.

The F 63 LG is Fleurette's smallest and least expensive model, but it's an extremely appealing vehicle nonetheless - it was my favourite of the four 'vans making their UK debut. Neat styling includes a white/silver front bumper and red/grey graphics, plus a one-piece moulded rear panel with quadruple lights each side and an integral ladder. The caravan door has a storage bin on the inside, a deep opening window and two-point locking.

Up front the F 63 LG has the relatively rare combination of an L-shaped settee facing the side kitchen. Swivel cab seats expand the relaxation space and the fixed (sliding) table is not too big. Height-adjustable rear seatbelts cater for a pair of rear passengers.

The kitchen may lack worktop space but the table is close by. Fittings comprise a three-burner hob with ignition, sink with integral drainer and a Cramer oven and grill. There's also plenty of storage, including a three-bottle wine rack. Partly, the generosity of stowage in the galley is because the fridge is sited remotely, between the L-settee and the fixed bed. It's a huge 150-litre AES model too, with two drawers (ideal for clothes) positioned below.

Opposite the fridge is a decent sized wardrobe with a cupboard (for shoes?) below. Coat hooks are mounted adjacent and a tall mirror means that you can check your sartorial elegance on the way out. You'll have no excuse for not looking spick and span as the smart washroom has everything you could want, including a separate shower.

The fixed bed comes with reading lights and a useful wall-mounted pocket for books or specs. A flatscreen TV locker is sited at the end of the bed and the television can also be turned around for viewing from the swivelled cab seats.
