WildAx confirms new Mercedes-based campervan
Yorkshire-based campervan manufacturer, WildAx, which is owned by the French Rapido Group, has confirmed it will launch an all-new, high-end campervan based on the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter.
The new model, which will be called the Elara and is expected to cost in the region of £65,000, is currently at the prototype stage but is expected to be ready by the end of January.
It’s planned to be on display on WildAx’s stand (5210) at the upcoming Caravan, Camping & Motorhome Show at the Birmingham NEC in February.
The launch of the Elara follows quickly behind the launch of WildAx’s other new model – the Triton, which is based on the Ford Custom. According to MD, Duncan Wildman, the manufacturer has already sold 75% of the models they’ll produce this year, which includes a 33% increase in production for 2019.
Currently, WildAx, which has nine dealers in the UK and one in the Republic of Ireland, have just appointed Highbridge Caravans in Devon as one of its dealers, and plans to appoint two more dealers to cover the northeast and southeast of England. The aim is to have around 10 dealers for the UK in total.
