Vauxhall launches electric Vivaro
Vauxhall has launched an all-electric version of its Vivaro panel van.
Built on the same line as the diesel-engined Vivaro, and available to order from June in two lengths and two body variants, the new battery electric Vivaro-e enables has a range of up to 188 miles and has a payload of up to 1,226kg (before it has been converted into a campervan).
At least one converter has expressed an interest in creating a new campervan from this all-electric van.
There are two battery options: a 75kWh unit, which provides up to 188 miles of range or a 50kWh battery with a range of up to 125 miles.
The Vivaro-e can be charged via a wall box, a fast-charging system or even a cable for charging from a domestic plug socket. The battery is covered by an eight-year/100,000-mile guarantee.
Prices have not yet been confirmed.
