The Erwin Hymer Group showcases new models at the NEC

For the very first time, all Erwin Hymer Group brands were showcased together at the NEC’s Motorhome & Caravan Show 2019.

EHG has some of the biggest and best-known brands in the motorhome and campervan industry. Visitors to the NEC were able to view new launches for the 2020 season from nine brands, including Elddis, Compass, Hymer, Dethleffs, Bürstner, Sunlight, Etrusco, Laika and Carado.

You can watch a video previewing a selection of the new models from the range of brands here:

Among the eye-catching new launches is the Elddis Encore 250 motorhome, a brand-new model for 2020. A four-berth with a luxury feel to it, Alde 24-hour programmable heating is among the headline features. The island bed can slide back during the day to increase floorspace. Without a doubt, it’s one of the most exciting developments from the Erwin Hymer Group this year.

From Dethleffs, the Globeline T 6613 EB is based on a Mercedes Sprinter, and the latest rear-wheel drive Sprinter at that. UK specification includes features that aren’t standard on the German market version, including carpets, overcab sunroof and central locking on the habitation door.

The Carado V132 is a compact motorhome with lots of storage and a payload of up to 950kgs, as well as a large garage. At only 2.1m wide, it’s not much wider than a standard van conversion and it’s under 6m in length, too. Inside, there’s a classic continental layout and a rear transverse double bed. The star feature is the washroom, with a swing wall shower; pull it across to create a separate shower.

Compass has added a third model to its van conversion line-up, in the shape of the Avantgarde CV60 (pictured below). The layout is impressive, with a long side-facing sofa that pulls out into a bed, large fridge and a good-sized, well-equipped kitchen.

Sunlight’s T68 XV Edition – launched in celebration of the brand’s 15th anniversary – is a stylish motorhome with a giant fridge and freezer and long single beds.

The Bürstner Lyseo M T 660, which marks the brand’s return to the Mercedes Sprinter, was also on display. Models from Laika, Hymer and Etrusco – appearing at the NEC show for the first time – completed the line-up.
