Swift introduces new motorhomes for 2015
The Swift Rio is a new departure for this UK company with two models that offer coachbuilt conveniences in the footprint of a van conversion – although both models are similar lengths to the XLWB van at 6.40m. Although very British in style, one of the models comes with a European-style drop down bed and extra travels seats to make it a four-berth.
The other big news is the introduction of what Swift calls its ‘Integrated’ roof profile. A slightly more bulbous overcab roof moulding (but not a Luton) mostly indicates the presence of a drop-down roof bed in two of the new Esprit and Bessacarr models (the sub six-metre 424 and the 7.65m twin lounge 496).
The rest of the Esprit and Bessacarr ranges have adopted a sleeker look, on a lower chassis, with integrated awning that enables the body to be wider and create more room inside.
There’s a range of new layouts, including a transverse island bed coachbuilt and a European-style fixed bed Autocruise van conversion.
