Success at Shepton!
The weather tried its hardest to dampen everyone’s spirits but overall the first ‘South West Motorhome Show’ was a resounding success for Warners Shows.
Over 1400 camping pitches were occupied for the event, meanwhile 4500 people visited for the day (umbrellas in tow!). Visitors were able to browse over 250 new and used motorhomes and campervans for sale, as well as stock up on gadgets and accessories from the 130+ traders.
Head of Events, Sally Dodds commented ‘We’ve had lots of positive feedback from our showgoers, so we’re really pleased with our opening year at Shepton Mallet. The show has so much potential, so we can’t wait to build on the success and learning curve of year one.’
Campers were treated to evening entertainment from Beardsmith and the West Coast Band, as well as tributes to Thin Lizzy, T-Rex, Meatloaf, Queen, Brian Adams, Status Quo and The Rolling Stones. During the daytime The Caravan and Motorhome Club offered free 20 minute caravan towing and motorhome manoeuvring courses. These were fully booked throughout the weekend, so we expect to see a batch of newly qualified experts on the roads!
We hope to welcome you back on 7-9th September 2018.
‘First timers to this show lark, had a great time at Shepton Mallet' Rosann Mastin
‘Well done Warners for a fantastic first show at Shepton Mallet. Let’s hope this show goes from strength to strength in the future’ Mandy Dring
‘Thank you Warners Shows. You did it again, yet another fantastic weekend of entertainment. Sally Dodds does a brilliant job organising all the shows and is a credit to you. One of the bands I enjoyed was Beardsmith. How wonderful for a family to connect with one & other they were incredible. To end the weekend couldn’t have been better in my opinion State of Quo were as good as the real Quo. Well Done to all involved!’ Jo Spencer
‘Great bands on Thursday and Friday evening. Well worth the entrance free just to see them so free weekend then. Looking forward to tonight’s entertainment. Great site. Hope it’s hear again next year’ Phil Ireland
‘Well we had a ROCKING NIGHT here last at Shepton, first tribute band was the stones followed by State of Quo, they were amazing. So made up for being under water for a while! Would definitely return if only for the fantastic shows they put on’ Doretta Kaminski
‘Well done Warners for the great improvement of the Shepton Mallet motorhome show, shame about the weather but full credit to you for a great show. Also nice to see money has been spent on improving the showground facilities. Well done!’ Sue Smith Randall
