Richard Baldwin adds VW campervans to its motorhome range

Yorkshire based motorhome dealer, Richard Baldwin, has announced two new additions to its range of special edition motorhomes, launched at the February 2019 NEC motorhome show. Joining its Masters Collection, the two new models will be based on the VW T6, and offer a classic side kitchen campervan layout with a choice of rising roof or high-top.  

Called the Caravaggio (Lo or Hi, depending on the roof choice), these models will come as standard with Richard Baldwin's own DPS 360 camera system, with four cameras to monitor/record as well as help manoeuvring. This is also linked to a Thatcham Cat 1 alarm for added peace of mind. The company claims this is the first and only VW camper to feature a system such as this.

It doesn't end there as the standard kit list also includes heated cab seats, solar panel, external gas BBQ point, a winter pack (lagged tanks and pipes and tank heaters), drivers pack (the little things that many people forget about but lots of campers asked Richard Baldwin for, so yellow vest, spare bulbs, first aid kit, breathalyser, warning triangle), passenger airbag, cruise control, automatic lights and wipers, cab air-con, Whale water filter, power latching side door and more.

The engine is the 102 variant as standard, while if you want the automatic gearbox, a 150 engine is required. Tha means this option will cost £4,311 (£2,316 for the engine upgrade and £1,995 for the auto box).

The Caravaggio Lo costs £48,888 while the Hi is priced at £49,488 and comes with five years habitation and base vehicle warranty.

These models join the company's existing Fiat Ducato high-top campers and Peugeot Boxer coachbuilts.
