Pimp your motorhome

A chance encounter on the M6 between ‘How’s My Driving?’ safety on the roads, founder Ross Smith and PVL fitter Matt Farnell led to a major promotional wrap of Ross’s Niesmann+Bischoff Arto 69G A-Class, five berth motorhome.

Ross Smith recently set up a website to enable existing and prospective boat owners to share ownership and use of boats they might otherwise not be able to afford individually. A major UK tour of six air shows before December was planned meant the vehicle needed a promotional wrap in double quick time.

After seeing Matt Farnell’s PVL’s fitter vehicle Ross called PVL and explained the job. PVL’s National Sales Director Will Clarke and National Fitting Projects Manager Mark Allen put their heads together and came up with a new material ideally suited to the project. Avery MP11104 digital media vinyl with MP11460 overlay would bring the cartoon graphics to life and deliver the fun, excitement and colour vibrancy needed.

PVL as the largest supplier of ESV vehicles wraps and high visibility signage leads the way in this field. To withstand all climates and conditions, the wrapping needs to be tough, flexible and durable. PVL and its sister company Art D’Signs has the design, production and finishing experience needed to deliver unique designs like this one.

The Niesmann+Bischoff Arto motorhome is now travelling on a motorway near you promoting the website-based, boat-sharing enterprise. The large format cartoon-based artwork required extensive reworking and tweaking in order to get the look of the vehicle right. PVL worked with the various designers for each elevation. Once the designs were finalised PVL printed, cut and applied the striking livery at its factory.

Before wrappingAnd the wrap in its full glory

PVL’s Sales Director Will Clarke said, “This was a superb project to show off our high level expertise at wrapping the most eccentric looking and awkwardly shaped vehicle imaginable. The motorhome had all kinds of panels, apertures and fiddly corners to navigate and we liaised closely with Ross and his designers to get it absolutely right and on time. We look forward to seeing it at various events around the country this year.”

If you would like to discuss pimping your van, The PVL, Art D’Signs and Preview team is based at 24 Victoria Way, Burgess Hill RH15 9NF and examples of other work can be seen at previewgroup.co.uk and pvluk.com.
