Peugeot introduces electric version of Expert van
Peugeot has launched an electric version of its Expert van, which is converted by some manufacturers into a compact campervan.
The new e-Expert offers two different ranges, three body lengths, up to 1,000kg towing capacity and payloads of up to 1,275kg (before conversion).
The all-electric van has three driving settings: Eco (60 kW) for optimising range, Normal (80 kW) for everyday use and Power (100 kW) for greater performance. As well as these three settings, the electric motor provides a maximum torque of 260Nm and has a maximum speed of 80mph.
It comes with two battery capacity options: 50kWh and 75kWh; the standard 50kWh battery offers a range of up to 143 miles, while the 75kWh battery has a range of up to 205 miles. The batteries are located under the floor, without any impact on the loading volume and the suspension has been adapted with the use of specific shock absorbers and springs.
Prices for this new base vehicle have not yet been confirmed.
