Yescapa, a peer-to-peer motorhome and campervan rental company, has come up with a list of popular destinations among those who use its services

According to statistics from past and future reservations, Yescapa forecasts the following destinations to be the top road trip trends for 2018.

Majorca, Spain

The largest of the Balearic islands is a very popular holiday destination thanks to its immense natural beauty and its pleasant Mediterranean weather. Travellers come from all over the world to enjoy the beaches, creeks and blue-lagoon sea. Thanks to the independence of a motorhome, they can also get away from the crowds and see the breath-taking landscapes in the rocky Tramuntana Mountains in the northwest of the island and the flat plains in the centre.

Bordeaux, France

The southwest of France is known for its beautiful winding countryside roads. It has reliable and wonderful summer weather, quaint villages and stunning beaches. Did we forget to mention the wine too? No wonder it’s a big favourite. This region is stacked with vineyards making it a top spot to discover on a road trip.

Edinburgh, Scotland

A firm favourite for Britons searching for a dramatic staycation. Most holidaymakers set off from Scotland’s capital to The Highlands to discover the hidden wonders and dramatic landscapes. You can get closer to the wilderness in a campervan and head into the heart of Scotland. There are whiskey trails to explore allowing you to pitstop at prized Scottish distilleries along the way. You can also easily get around the stunning Isle of Skye without having to worry about booking accommodation in the high season. No matter what the weather throws your way, you are definitely in for an adventure.
