Over 50 per cent of motorhomers enjoy twice as many holidays each year than the average Briton, according to a new survey by insurance provider, Shield.
Whilst ABTA (Association of British Travel Agents) recorded that the typical British family takes around three holidays every year, results from the survey showed over half of Shield's motorhoming customers took double that amount. It was also revealed that around 19 per cent of motorhome users take up to 10 short breaks over the course of 12 months.
Far from being limited to the UK, almost half (43 per cent) of motorhomers responding to the survey regularly venture overseas, enjoying breaks in France, Spain, Italy and Switzerland.
Motorhome users are really living up to "If you want to decorate your drive, buy a gnome, not a motorhome"!
