The idea of touring vineyards and sampling the local wares is great if you’re the passenger in the motorhome, but not for the driver. Well, South Devon Wine Tours has the solution to the problem of drinking and driving. The all-day tours start from £75 and provide air-conditioned trips to local Devon vineyards to sample the very best the region has to offer. A typical day out will include a visit to three or more vineyards, lunch, and the opportunity to sample some of the local, award winning wine. The tour will pick you up, and drop you off at the end of the day, hence the slogan:  we'll drive you to drink. It means no more discussing who will sample the wines and who will have to drive.

Places that the tour visits include Yearlstone Vineyard in the Exe valley, Sharpham Vineyard, a thousand year-old farm outside Torquay, Pebblebed Vineyards just south of Exeter, Old Walls which produces four types of wine, Lily Farm which won an International Wine Challenge silver medal for its Sparkling Rose, Froginwell Vineyard which offers Seyval Blanc as the main crop and Eascott Vineyard just outside Oakhampton.
