Motorhome of the Month - June 2019

The Out and About Live team have chosen the latest Motorhome of the Month, after reviewing a range of offers from motorhome and campervan dealers running in June.

This Hymer T SL 708 is available from Erwin Hymer Travelworld, in Stafford.

The TSL 708 is Hymer’s highest specification semi-integrated Island bed model – a popular layout in the UK. It’s a practical motorhome with a further make up bed in the lounge area and a host of pleasing features, including a single level/double floor, Mineral kitchen surface and Crystal silver body paint.

This model is a right-hand drive, built on a Fiat Ducato Maxi. It has upgraded automatic transmission and a 150bhp engine.

The length of the TSL is 7.79m. Overall weight is 4,500kg. It has four travel seats and sleeps three.

The interior of this model is modern and clean, with stylish Paradiso upholstery and a Trentino wood finish throughout. The cab has air conditioning and cruise control.

The lounge has a spacious layout, with an L-shaped sofa around a table that can be lowered if needed. Opposite is a side-facing sofa. There is an additional cushion for conversion to an extra bed.

The kitchen is well equipped, with an Aspire UK gas oven and grill and ample worktop area including a cover over the sink for extra preparation space. There are also additional sockets here – handy for charging devices.

The rear Island bed has steps on either side for easy access, and an abundance of storage for clothing and other items. There are drawers at the foot of the bed, cupboards either side of the headboard and two overhead cupboards. There are also two fixed pouches by the headboard – useful for storing a book for nighttime reading.

There is a separate washroom and shower cubicle; the latter has a removable wooden shower tray. On-board heating and hot water is powered by a Truma Combi 6 heater, and there’s also an electric bar heater for extra warmth on those chillier days and nights.

This model has a panoramic window in the roof, making the most of daytime light, and ambient lighting to help create a relaxed atmosphere in the evening.

The smart exterior of this T SL 708 is further enhanced by the Crystal silver paint theme, painted front spoiler and 16-inch Goldschmitt alloy wheels.
