Figures released today by industry trade body the NCC (National Caravan Council) show that new motorhome registrations hit a five year high in March 2015, with 1,953 new vehicles registered with DVLA.
In total, the first quarter 2015 saw 2,546 new motorhome registrations and many NCC member manufacturers and dealers report a busy year so far.Jenny Summers, NCC group marketing director, said, “Off the back of the positive numbers for 2014 with regard to new motorhome registrations (up 18%) these figures released today illustrate that 2015 has got off to a fantastic start.
“Why is this happening? We believe that with returning consumer confidence more buyers are being drawn to leisure vehicles because of the lifestyle they enable. It is all about the freedom to explore, getting into the great outdoors and going where you want, when you want to.”
