Motorhome insurance survey reveals huge difference in policy pricing

b3337c99-a828-48b0-b57b-a709fe6585d3

You could save hundreds of pounds on your next motorhome insurance policy by reading the latest survey of insurance providers.

The survey, appearing in the April issue of Which Motorhome, found a difference of more than £600 between the price of two similar policies.

The path of least resistance with insurance is to accept the renewal quote when it lands on the mat, and think about spending money on something more enjoyable instead.

Sign on the dotted line, pop the form in the post and go back to daydreaming about that six-week tour you’ve promised yourself this summer.

That approach though can be expensive, and increasingly so as the latest survey found out.

Which Motorhome surveyed 26 motorhome insurers including the industry leaders. The survey rated them on their telephone manner, efficiency and, perhaps most importantly, the price of quote.

All the details of the fictional motorhomer given during the survey were the same and the policies offered were similar. Despite this, the quotes were widely different. The difference between the cheapest and the most expensive was £630!

Don't forget, if you're an MMM subscriber, you can save on motorhome insurance from Caravan Guard, Comfort and Safeguard through the MMM Subscribers' Club.

To read the survey in full and find out which insurance company came out on top, pre-order your copy of April 2014 Which Motorhome here and get it delivered direct to your door.
