Motorhome insurance specialist, Comfort Insurance, celebrates 25th anniversary

Twenty five years ago the dedicated motorhome insurance industry was started and Comfort Insurnace was born

The man behind it was Peter Cue and, having struggled to find a policy that suited his needs, he decided to create one in conjunction with Aviva.

Says Peter, “Back then I had a young family and enjoyed regular holidays in our motorhome. But getting a decent level
of cover was impossible and I found that some of my friends were in the same position, so I decided to do something about it; I set
up Comfort Insurance specifically for motorhome owners.”

Since then the company has gone on to become a major player in the motorhome and campervan insurance market, and has also won numerous awards.
It first shot to fame in what is now called What Motorhome magazine when it was still called Which Motorcaravan, back in 2006, when it was joint winner of our insurance survey with two other companies.

Comfort was then outright winner the following year, and again in 2009.

It then succeeded in blowing away all the competition with an unbroken series of wins from 2011 right through until our last full mystery shopper survey in 2016.

That’s six successive victories!
