Motorhome and campervan dealer Lowdhams has launched new special edition models

ddcc7921-1c63-43ad-9cde-31875e2ab75a

Motorhome and campervan dealer Lowdhams, with branches in Nottingham and Huddersfield, has launched its latest dealer special edition ranges, with models from Swift, Dethleffs, Sunlight and Wellhouse Leisure.

From Swift, the latest versions of the Freestyle are based on the entry-level Edge (five models, from £49,865), while the 2020-season Hi-Style is based on the Escape and Escape Compact (10 models, from £53,360).

However, it’s the Kon-tiki Sport Grand Prix motorhome that is all-new. This 11-layout line-up, based on the new Kon-tiki Sport, boasts over £6,000 worth of extra equipment included in the price (from £68,895). The Kon-tiki GP Pack includes a 160bhp engine upgrade, DAB/CD/sat-nav, external shower, barbecue and 230V points, full leather seating, Truma Duo Comfort crash sensor gas regulator, cruise control, TV aerial, heated cab seats, cab air-conditioning, ESP, metallic black cab, 90-litre fuel tank and electric folding wing mirrors.

From German brand, Dethleffs, the Eurostyle low-profiles continue for 2020 but they are joined by the Sunvan from sister company, Sunlight. The Sunvan comes in a choice of transverse double bed or lengthways twin bed layouts, each with a rear garage. Overall width is a slimline 2.14m, while prices start at just £44,995.

Both models include the Sun Pack (worth £1,945) as standard, so the spec includes 16in alloy wheels, an awning, insulated waste water tank, upgraded white lockers, colour-coded bumpers, TV bracket and enhanced upholstery.

Finally, Lowdhams’ campervan range (built by Wellhouse Leisure under the Summit brand name) has been improved for the 2020 season. All models will now be based on the Ford Tourneo Custom Titanium (the top-of-the-range people-carrier derivative), while there’s now a third (light wood) option for the furniture at no extra cost and new Nappa leather seating as a £1,950 extra.

For the first time there is also a long-wheelbase Summit model, offering additional storage in a 5.34m overall length (versus 4.97m of the standard model). Summit prices now start at £52,495 for the SWB, £53,995 for the LWB.
