Mobility Roadshow gets ready to roll

The Mobility Roadshow incorporating Get Going Live! is the UK’s premier accessible vehicle test-drive and adaptive product event for consumers living with restricted mobility.

This free-to-attend event, which runs from 26-28th May at Silverstone Circuit, Northants, provides thousands of visitors with the opportunity to test, trial and compare a vast range of adapted vehicles and assistive products all in one location. Over 40 adapted and wheelchair-accessible vehicles (WAVs) from leading manufacturers and conversion specialists will be available for test-drives on the historic circuit. Visitors can experience test drives as a disabled driver or passenger for free and accompanied at all times by professional drivers. 

The Mobility Roadshow also demonstrates the largest and most diverse selection of adaptive driving and steering controls ranging from push/pull devices to specialist electric triggers and 4-way joysticks. These will be complemented in The Silverstone Wing and pit lane garages by a diverse display of innovative wheelchairs, mobility scooters, ramps, hoists and much more.

For younger visitors, age 16 plus, and those new to disability, Get Going Live! offers test-driving opportunities which are hugely beneficial to those wishing to try accessible driving for the first time or researching their first vehicle purchase.

Visitors can drive adapted vehicles from Bever Cars, GM Coachwork, Gowrings Mobility and TBC Conversions. Sirus Automotive will be demonstrating several vehicles including the Volkswagen Caddy Transfer, Fiat Qubo UpFront and new Kia Soul. Lewis Reed is featuring its top eight converted vehicles including the new Mercedes-Benz V-Class and Vito models. PB Conversions will showcase the new Ford Tourneo Connect with Guidosimplex equipment, the Volkswagen T5 with Paravan Space drive equipment and the Ford C-Max with a selection of assistive controls. 

In addition, visitors will be able to discover the latest assisted driving seats, wheelchair docking stations, lifts, and ramps from specialist manufacturers such as Vapor Ricon, Dahl, Q’Straint, BAS and Brig-Ayd. Mobility Networks, global specialist in vehicle access solutions and Gold Sponsor of the Roadshow, is launching several pioneering “Flexi” products including the new FlexisRamp, FlexiStep and FlexiWinch. Autoadapt and Elap, also Gold Sponsors, are launching their impressive Autoadapt Turny Low Vehicle Seat at the show – a swivel seat that is suitable for a wider type of vehicle than ever before.
