Lunar to launch motorhome range in Europe

Lunar’s award winning motorhome range will soon be gracing campsites across the Continent following the firm’s decision to exhibit at the prestigious Caravan Salon in Dusseldorf, Germany, later this year.
Showcased on the Lunar stand, under their European brand Cristall, will be the Mercedes based ‘Landstar’, a range of luxurious two-berth van conversions recently crowned ‘Best in Class’ and ‘Overall Winner’ in the motorcaravan of the year category at The Caravan Club Design and Drive Awards. Lunar will be unveiling new layouts for the Landstar developed specifically for the European market.Lunar’s Nissan NV200-based micro-camper, which also won ‘Best in Class’ at The Caravan Club’s awards, will be revealed under it’s new shortened name the ‘Lunar Camper Car’; adapted to more easily convey the innovative concept to European audiences.
Lunar CEO and Chairman, Brian Mellor, said: “Back in 1990’s under the European brand ‘Cristall’, Lunar motorhome products enjoyed significant success in Europe. We’ve undertaken in depth research into the market and are confident our Camper Car and Landstar ranges will be well received.”
Caravan Salon (30 August – 7 September, 2014) is staged at the Dusseldorf Exhibition Centre and is widely regarded as the most prestigious caravan and motorhome show in Europe, welcoming over 175,000 visitors annually, including 25,000 from outside Europe.
