Laika launches two new motorhomes

3922009a-b1c3-4149-9a0d-df0f6c74e73a

Italian motorhome manufacturer, Laika, has launched two new models into its Ecovip range of coachbuilts

First off is another model in the new 100 range, which was launched in Stuttgart in January.

Ecovip 112

The new Ecovip 112 low-profile is 6.59m long, making it especially compact.

This three-berth model (with four travel seats) features a rear electric height-adjustable central island bed layout with a central washroom opposite the galley kitchen that comes with a Thetford 140-litre fridge and, at the front, an L-shaped dinette with twin swivel cab seats.

There is also a large folding right-hand side seat as standard, which lets you add a fifth place to the dinette. The dinette area can be converted into a second bedroom with an optional folding bed, which can be used while still leaving a height of 1.90m underneath.

The garage under the rear island bed can accommodate bicycles or even a moped if required.

Laika Ecovip 419

The other new model is the Ecovip 419, a 7.49m-long rear twin single bed layout, again with an optional drop-down bed over the front dinette, but this time it is a double bed, measuring 191×140|115cm.

This front dinette also features a fifth flip-up seat so five people can dine.

In this model, the floor is on a single level from the cab to the rear wall. It also has two large separate wardrobes at the foot of each bed.

The central kitchen features a 142-litre Thetford 3-way slim refrigerator, equipped with smart energy selection (AES) and comes with an optional oven.

There is double access to the under-bed storage area, which is large enough for skis, tables and chairs.

Payload is quoted at 400kg, with the option to upgrade to 550kg and 750kg by getting the heavier (3,650kg or 3,850kg) chassis.

The model comes as a three-berth as standard (with four travel seats) or a five-berth with the optional drop-down double bed and an extra travel seat.

As with all Laikas, both new models are based on the Fiat Ducato. UK prices and exact specifications have yet to be confirmed.
