Insurer urges motorhomers to take out adequate cover

cb3e5f35-a7c1-48cf-880d-50bc66dd99c2
According to Shield Total Insurance, 67 per cent of motorhome claims handled relate to windscreen damage.

Without comprehensive insurance cover in place, this could result in a repair bill of anything from £300 to £5,000.

Whilst there is no legal requirement to have a comprehensive insurance policy in place, it’s dual purpose as both a vehicle and a mini ‘home from home’ equipped with personal belongings, means motorhomers could be leaving themselves exposed to substantial repair or replacement costs should the worst happen.

To make it as easy as possible to obtain access to adequate cover, Shield has refreshed its product offering providing an even wider range of customisable insurance solutions to suit all circumstances and budgets.

And, for a limited period, Out&AboutLive visitors can also claim 10 per cent off the cost of their insurance premiums by quoting SHO411 before June 3, 2011.

To help communicate the advantages of ‘taking cover’, Shield has launched a new logo, website and marketing campaign starring a likeable character protected by its own shield, an Armadillo.
