Hymer unveils new Vans at Stuttgart

Following the launch of the Hymer Van 314, which won Compact Motorhome of the Year in the National Motorhome Awards, Hymer has announced the Van 317, Van S 500 and Van S 520 models at the CMT Holiday Exhibition show in Stuttgart. There is also a new Hymer E-bike made by Flyer and featuring a 250W Panasonic motor.

The Hymer Van 374 is based on the Fiat AL-KO Ducato like the 314, but is longer at 5.99m. It has the same equipment specification but offers two rear single beds which each have a wardrobe underneath. There’s also a garage at the back. The washroom features a combined toilet and shower while the kitchen unit has a two-burner gas hob. The lounge has a half-dinette with two forward facing travel seats and the two cab seats which rotate around to face them. The GVW is 3,500kg but there’s an option for a 3,850kg chassis. The Euro 5+, 2.3-litre, 130bhp, right hand drive starts from £46,470 on the road.

The new Hymer S Vans are based on the Mercedes Sprinter 313 CDi and feature Euro 6, 2.2-litre, 129bhp engines. Standard equipment includes Crosswind and Hillstart Assist, ABS, ASR, EBV and ESP, electrically adjustable, heated wing mirrors, electric cab windows, PUAL body construction and framed windows and a GRP lightweight floor with insulation. The kitchen has a twin gas burner and sink above a large pull out drawer. A small fridge sits underneath. The lounge features a half dinette with an extendable table and two forward facing travel seats. The cab seats swivel round to provide a dining area for four. Washroom facilities are behind a tambour door with an integrated toilet and shower unit. The Van S 500 is 5.65m long and has a transverse double bed at the rear, over a garage with a 350kg load capacity. There is door access to the garage on both sides of the motorhome. Under the bed is a wardrobe area with shelves and a coat/clothes rail. Standard GVW is 3,500kg but there’s an option for a 4,200kg version which increases the garage load capability to 450kg. On the road pricing starts at £47,260.

The Hymer Van S 520 has twin single beds over a garage and is longer at 6.36m. The on the road pricing starts at £49,640.
