Hymer in joint venture to build motorhomes in China

Germany’s Hymer Group has signed an agreement with a leading Chinese special vehicles manufacturer in a joint venture costing £52m.
Hymer signed the deal with Chongqing Jinguan Automobile Manufacture Co. Ltd, to launch China's first recreational vehicle joint venture.According to ChinaDaily.com, the two companies will jointly invest 500 million yuan (£52m) in building a factory with an annual production capacity of over 5,000 vehicles.
The factory will be based in southwest China's Chongqing Municipality.
The two companies displayed three RVs imported from Germany at the recent China Chongqing International Auto Industry Fair. The vehicles were each equipped with a toilet, kitchen, bedroom, shower room, a bar counter, 32in TV and a Wi-Fi terminal.
