Head south for the sun in your motorhome
Unless you like watching the rain fall and running the heating on maximum to stay warm in your motorhome then heading southwards is a much more attractive proposition. The further south you go for the winter, the warmer it will be but driving there for the unprepared can be a tricky proposition. Fortunately we have a guide to doing just that, heading over the channel to France and driving down to Spain. It features the different routes you can take and what to expect on the way. There are also guides to different types of campsites, how to use ferries and where not to stay.
The first part of the trip concerns heading from Calais to Rouen and there is a list of places to stay on the way. From there it’s on to Nonancourt, Poitiers and Bayonne before you finally enter Spain. Once over the border there’s an extensive guide to travelling through the interior, places to stay, and heading up at the Costa del Sol.
