An Android smart phone version of the 'Show Me Wales' iPhone/iPad app, which provides a comprehensive guide to things to do, activities and places to visit across the country, has been launched.

Following the successful launch of the first ever pan-Wales app of its type, together with a mobile website - www.m.showmewales.co.uk - during Wales Tourism Week in March, there have been in excess of 8,600 free downloads from the Apple iphone store.

The Show Me Wales apps and mobile website have been developed, with specialist technical support, by Mid Wales Tourism (MWT) in partnership with North Wales Tourism. The new app can be dowloaded from the Android Market Place / Google Play.

The app has sections on Mid Wales Naturally Different, South West Wales Beaches, North Wales Great Days Out, Castles and Historic Sites, Cultural South East Wales, Ceredigion Walking and Cycling and Fun in the Forests.
